I want to win some money, so today I have put £10 on Man Utd to beat Spurs, Real Madrid to beat Villareal, Senegal to beat Angola and Standard Leige to beat some Belgian team.
It pays about £60, fifty notes profit looks good.
Anyone having a bet today? Any thoughts on my bet?

Although occasionally. I like a flutter, maybe once every couple of months, unless it is one of the classics, personally, wouldn't waste a tenner, just to make fifty. Hence, when I do bet, it will be on the horses.
Could have had 50-1 yesterday, for Havant to just to score 1 goal, anytime, no named goalscorer. Don't know what the odds were for them to score 2, but would have been very good.

I don't have much luck betting on footy. I always end up with a 'rogue' result.

There are too many 'rogue' results unfortunately. Football betting definitely doesn't pay long run, the bookies make their biggest % of winnings on football. Horses I ain't got a clue about, but I do like a bet on the big races like the Derby. The only sport I have ever really made a profit from overall is women's tennis. And its pleasing on the eye to watch your bet come good.
Well Man Utd won, so one down three more to go. Hopefully Diouf can score a couple of goals for Senegal this afternoon.

Bet has lost, just watching Senegal, they 3-1 down after 80 mins, they are really really crap, yet they have some good players - Diouf, Niang (Marseille striker), Diomansi Kamara, Henri Camara, Papa Bouba Diop, Abdoulaye Faye, Habib Beye, etc. But they are hopeless, not organised at all, you cannot tell where players are playing. The defending is dreadful.
Bet lost. Gutted. I was dreaming of champagne and smoked salmon. Instead its going to be no frills beans on no frills toast this week.

Am glad.
I don't know, maybe it was foolish to bet on this game, I never seen Angola play or know any of their players, but apparently Man Utd have just signed one of their striker's who has scored two goals in this game.
Well, one bit of good news is that Senegal have 1 point from 2 games, they probably won't qualify now, they have to play South Africa last game, they will be out if they don't win - so Diouf may well be back pretty soon at Bolton.

i am sorry for Diouf if that happens.. glad to have him back though. He deserves some good recognition for his effort and talent.
Do you really need to bet to eat Mich?.. i have misjudged you if thats the case.. thought you were just misguided...lol.. but if you really need to speculate to eat.. i am sorry.

Probably the case. If my memory serves me well, the last time he said that he won, he bragged about eating steak, salmon and drinking champagne. A normal occurence IMO, but to some, might be a new novelty.

Ah dammit, Senegal was the only team to let me down, the other three won.
Yeah its pretty grim urquhs, until I get my next giro I am going to have to dry out used tea bags and live on tinned beans and no frills bread from Kwik Save.
Hope you can see now why I had to bet against Bolton when I thought we would definitely lose.

I think we should shop him to the authorities then he must be working while in receipt of benefit he wrote this in the petrol thread
We got a wage rise of 2.5% this year, but fuel prices are going up like massively for gas, electricity and most highest is petrol.
And now he writes this
