Should now be a good test of character.

At  30-2 it REALLY is a test of character NOW

Same here. Its alway dead when there is a US holiday, and none come bigger than Independence Day and Thanksgiving.

:wtf: Pietersen has just gone for 9  Score 64 - 3.  We need someone to keep in with Prior if we are hoping for any chance of victory.  Can't even see the rain helping us, since the Windies will probably win on the run rate.

Matt Prior now out after making 52.

Currently 117 - 4 with 25 remaining overs.  Doesn't look good.  IMO to beat the Windies, you have to get Chanderpaul out, preferably before he gets his eye in.  Another great innings again, from him today 116 n.o.

Collingwood out for 1,  120 - 5  The are dropping like flies.  Will stop posting until after the end of the match, seems as soon as I do a post, another ones out.

That was a good game, ODIs definitley suit the Windies better.  Glad to see Shah do well in the last two games.  It would have been such a waste if such a classical player (quite similar to Ramprakash actually) was not given the chance to establish himself.

Hope Dimi Mascarenhas gets an extended run too.  Behind Andrew Flintoff he's definitely the next best English all-rounder (Shane Warne agrees).  Should have been selected at least two years ago, really.

Good start.

This series is way too early in the summer ( still spring actually )  imo.

The WC final was only a few weeks ago.

bdifb. Do you mind if I change the sub heading to  " series thread "  and then we can also make it a " sticky "

Frankie, is it worth changing the Name of this thread, to just "Test Series" or will the England v India Test which starts today, be under another thread.??

Cheers, think it would be more appropriate, than keep doing new threads for each Series.

Much appreciated, knowing that you are doing some work on the Site.

England got off to a flyer, scoring 40 runs in the first 5 overs.  Currently 54-0 after 10 overs.
