Chris_rabz gave generously:

Gave the happy girl around £4.50 in change... and it worked!!!

Do you think you'll have to give £4.50 every game to ensure a win! I think you will - please do it.

I wore my late Father's walking boots to a Carling Cup tie on a very cold night which we won. Kept my feet warm. Consequently I had to wear them every round of the Carling Cup right to the final v. Middlesbrough! It was a hot day and I looked stupid! And of course the power had obviously faded.

Damn superstitions!

Well I'm a Libra and always believe in things being balanced, so I thought I'd give a little in an attempt to get a little. Trouble is its an expensive superstition is this one! Might donate it to the bookies against Liverpool and then I've a chance of not only getting the lucky points, but making money on the gesture!

Just got back from a weekend in Bolton.

Lost my voice when we scored and the rest of the match didn't help. United carved out one clear chance. That's all.

Couldn't fault a single member of the team. Given their attacking options (even with no Ronaldo or Rooney) the whole team worked their socks off. And if they were looking a bit tired in the last ten minutes, I'll forgive them for that.

There's was a lad sitting near us - must have been 12 or 13. As soon as we scored he sat back in his seat and didn't budge. he was getting paler and paler as the game went on. His dad kept trying to get him to speak but he was so nervous, he couldn't. At the end, he looked like he'd gone 8 rounds with Muhammed Ali! he just got up and trudged off. Another woman, with about 10 minutes to go kept shouting 'I can't stand this, I'm going to be sick' - but she kept it in.

Great all round performance by a team that's got it's soul back.

And, to add to the occasion, we watched the Scousers massacre the Geordies on the plasma screens beforehand. Apparently, some of the Newcastle faithful don't think that Big Sam knows what he's doing!

Not the greatest game in the world but one of the great occasions!!!!

What a game! Imho the best atmosphere ever at t'bok, just ahead of the Liverppol game in the 01/02 season. I just wanted to walk away after the goal and have someone tell me the score at the end. The relief and joy at the end were immeasurable. I've not been able to stop smiling since. I keep looking at the scoreline in the newspaper and laughing. There were so many big performances out there. I just feel immensely chuffed to have been there when 'Little Bolton' beat United. :god:  :slurp:  :timetoparty::Band1::Boogieman::Clap2:

Apologies for the lateness of my post-match entry, been busy

but oh. my. god

what a game!!!!

so happy at the end i actually sobbed into my scarf

the team were outstanding, the atmosphere stunning, particularly loved the chants at the end of "we only hate man united!" and "stand up! if you hate man u"

made use of my free texts by getting in touch with all my scummer mates and laughing at them =D

the back four were amazing, particularly impressed by Gardner, who worked his ass off all day

midfield were, bizarrely, completely rock solid =S have we found the right mix?

Davies = King

Anelka is lord of the goals, hope he stays in jan

Diouf back to his menacing best

we made a mockery of them, and SAF bitching about the physical side of our game was the icing on the cake

onwards and upwards, dear friends!!

enjoy work tomorrow =P

Crybaby Patrice

Patrice, are you a man or a mouse?  Patently the latter.  Grow up, Patrice.  Be thankful you never played against Roy Keane.  You can measure a player by their reaction to defeat and I am thankful this child does not play for BWFC.

The part that I found both Funny and Strange, was when Anelka scored.  It seemed that all of Manchesters Defence was trying to mark SKD, didn't seem to be bothered with anyone else......Idiots.!!!!!

Just shows how many Premiership players are worried about the capabilities of SKD.

Pique handed us that goal on a plate, he came for a ball he couldn't reach and left Anelka on his own.

Not to take anything from Anelka, still a great turn and finish, but I very much doubt Vidic would have made the same mistake.

However, I'm glad, we deserved a bit of luck for a change so I won't complain.

It's the old saying that you can only beat what's put in front of you.

Having said that, you've got to love Ferdiniand jumping up and down like a 6 year old girl when he didn't get his corner at the end.

I totally agree, and really don't want to take anything away from the lads, it was a fantastic result against a team that should have turned us over no problem based on recent form etc.

What a strange piece. Hasn't Evra noticed that Super Kev does this to everybody. I thought United were supposed to be well prepared. Surely they cannot have failed to notice that Super Kev thunders into players week in week out irrespective of race, colour, creed or team. If you don't play for Bolton you are a potential victim of a crunching Super Kev tackle! Long may they continue.

Other teams must look at what he's said an indentify a weakness with Evra. He doesn't like a physical game.

The hidden agenda I believe is that by attacking Bolton for a physical approach it deflects from the criticism that Ferguson should receive for not at least having Ronaldo on the bench. He fielded a weakened team against a team he thought he could get three easy points. Very bad planning. Any manager could see that Bolton have got it together over the last few games and so deserve some respect. Big mistake Ferguson and you can't take the criticism - so attack on some imagined physical approach. Nobody will noticed you made an error of judgement!

So the all of you doubters and critics of Megson, Gartside and the board...

Are we good now? or is it just a blip? Is Megson a great manager suddenly and Gartside made the right decision? How fickle you are with your comments and your criticisms that suddenly you forget as soon as we beat Utd at home. ;)

All I think we can say at the moment is that he's done everything (and a little more) than we could ask of him. Top 10 finish, UEFA Cup knock-out stages and an away win at Newcastle and he's on his way to becoming a hero. Win at Old Trafford and he hits legend status.

We don't want much....

We still dont know if Megson can put a team out to win a game. Defensively solid... yes. He didnt get it right against Middlesborough, but did against Man U...or maybe the team wee more motivated against Man u...if thats the case, hes not the saviour... lets see if he can defend against liverppol at full stregnth, and then sort out a deperate wigan.

I have missed one home game since the start of last season and what do the bastards do? They beat Manure. I have never seen us beat Utd at home. I was away this weekend on a long ago planned weeked at Center Parcs. we came out of the swimming pool at 4:50. I switched on my phone to check the scores - with some trepidation and we'd won. I was already having a good weekend but that really made my day. I'll forgive them for doing it when I wasn't there - this once.

I agree. He's made a good start....unbeaten in 4, but being Bolton, we could lose against Wigan!!!

So he's proving us all wrong at the moment, and I'll be more than happy to eat a massive slice of humble pie if he comes through for us. If he does, he'll get instant legend status in my eyes....after the slating we all gave him when he arrived.

I've had a weekend of Gloating and drinking to get over before I could possibly consider reflecting on this game. I thought we would have had a right old pasting at the hands of the old enemy right up to the point I saw the teamsheets. Even then I still thought "it's United they're bound to have too much in reserve for us"

How wrong I was. We battered them in the first half both physically (Not cheating we were simply stronger than them) and in a football sense. Second half they had a lot more of the play but I didnt they really threatened out goal.

I have to say I think our two full backs were absolutely magnificent. I have been a critic of both recently but Hunt and Gardner were outstanding, all the back four were exceptional. In fact scratch that, every player should be proud of the way they played on Saturday.

I thought the opposition were disappointing but who cares it's great to get one over on the Reds.

Bragging Rights are ours for a while (All the Reds were missing from my local at the weekend, Don't know Why???)

Doesn't this win seem all the sweeter with SAF, Evra and the rest of the Beaten Busbys moaning like little girls? I much prefer this to the way Fergie kept praising us after we won at Old Trafford. Absolutely love the "because I don't like you" comment, really epitomises SKD in every format.

1-0! We beat the SCUM 1-0!
