Copied and Pasted, from somewhere.
Bolton have stepped up their interest in Hannover 96 winger Szabolcs Huszti - the golden boy of Hungarian football.
Gary Megson is on the look-out for a wide left player who can deliver quality crosses and Huszti, 25, fits the bill.
The Trotters boss sent scout Alan Harper to watch him inspire Hungary to a 2-0 win over Northern Ireland on Wednesday.
Huszti, who moved to the Bundesliga from French side Metz for £210,000 two years ago, laid on his country's opening goal at Windsor Park with a lightning burst down the right.
Huszti has previously been linked with a move to Real Madrid while Sevilla, Celtic and Everton are also said to be interested

I know. As soon as other clubs are mentioned, usually means that we are out of the running. So much is our pulling power.

I think in January I'd we need..........
1 x CB
1 x CM
1 x RM
1 x ST unless Smolarek is the man.
So............
1 x CB - ?
Ive heard people say.......
1 x CM - Bullard is that realistic?
1 x RM - Pennant is that a big risk?
If we did get these two I would be quite impressed and it would be interesting to see how Megson would play them.
Smolarek would be the striker maybe if he gets his chance but CB not to sure.

The only problem in signing a centre back is that AoB and Cahill will be automatic first choice. So they will only play if one of them two is injured or suspended. A decent centre back is unlikely to come to us if they dont think they will play. That means we have to sign someone who isnt bothered about sitting on the bench on a decent wage (which I dont want) or a youngster that is willing to wait for a chance. With regards to the latter, we may as well stick with our own. We already did the former in signing Shittu.
I think Pennant would be a good signing. Quick, can cross, attacking. Yes his temperment is questionable but he hasnt done anything controversial at Liverpool that I can think of. Benitez may be willing to loan him and it will give us a chance to see what he can do. The only problem if he does well someone will probably sign him permanently. But to play him who would you drop? Although I do quite fancy Gardner and Pennant on the wings with Davies and Elmander up front! We also have Riga (who I thought was good against Everton).
I dont think we need to sign a striker to be honest. It will probably be a gamble and or expensive. Elmander will always start if fit. Dropping Davies will take bottle. Rather just give Smolarek the chance.
A centre midfielder would also probably struggle to get in the side bearing in mind that there is Nolan (captain) Muamba McCann and Taylor who can play there.
Unless the new signings will add real quality and be automatic first teamers I dont see the need to just add bulk to our squad (unless injuries start to kick in, however historically our team generally stays the most injury free in the Premier League).

I don't really know what to make of this.
hopefully having an extra 7 mill in the transfer kitty would be beneficial and also having al-habsi, already proven him self that hes capable filling in Jussi's big shoes, but it is jussi & hes been through the thick & thin at bolton for 10/11 years.

| we would be daft to sell him to a relegation rival although i doubt spurs will be involved come the spring, cant blame them for wanting him though and i would not hold it against him if he fancied it, but it could be a bad move if the spurs goalie jinx hits him they do seem to have a problem in that dept but he,s probably too good to let that happen to him maybe they know that or maybe its all b#ll#cks from the notw.

I watch Dzemali playing against Milan today. He holds and distributes the ball quite well. Against one of the strongest midfield in the world, he shows his quality in reading the game. I will be upset if he is not given a chance to come back to Bolton. In term of wages, I think we could offer him more than what he earns at torino. Our style might not suit him but I think he is generally better than our N & M midfield.

Helgusson has now acrimoniously pulled out of the deal at QPR and instead signed for Chalrton. He may make his debut tomorrow night... against QPR!
