I see that BBC Sport are reporting that Australian Wicketkeeper Brad Haddin has broken his finger, and being replaced by Graham Manou.

Does say that Play starts at 17:00 BST, but there is no scorecard showing.  So have no idea what is happening.

Aussies batting and it's 63-0.

excuse my ignorance but does that mean they'll play until it gets dark or will they turn the lights on for a bit?

Not sure abou the lights, but i guess they will want to play long enough to avoid giving refunds. As long as they bowl a certain amount of overs, they don't have to hand any cash back.

Going about their work pretty efficiently this morning. Need to knock them over sub-300, pref sub-250. That way England can bat for the rest of today and let the weather do the rest.

It's swinging - not sure the Aussies will know what to do with a swinging ball. There's no pace and no movement off the pitch.

this was discussed earlier by the commentators, the conclusion that they came to was that there isn't a team in the world that knows how to play swing.  we'll soon know if they were right or not, if england know how to play it they're completely wrong.

All Out 263.  :Clapping:

Hopefully we have to get a decent score.  400+ would initially do me.  Win this one, and we can't lose the series.

Come on England.  :Ohyes:

well, the series might be at worst a draw but england have to win the series for it to be classed as a success.  there's no point drawing 2-2 and letting the ashes go.

i think england will win the series 3-0 for what it's worth, i haven't been at all impressed by this australian team and in return england have been excellent.

Îf the series ended 2-2 Oz would keep The Ashes as current holders

From Wikipedia

After a disappointing performance where England lost the first test, Hoggard was dropped (along with long time bowling partner, Steve Harmison) for the second test.
He said on 18 July 2008 on Five Live's Test Match Special programme, that he believes he will not play for England again after being left out of the Test squads against both New Zealand and South Africa

With Hoggard's international career all but at an end, 2009 is set to see an increasing amount of him in the guise of media personality. He has just released a book
, which has a serialisation in The Times, and is to contribute a regular column to Cricinfo.
