right, so cheezy, but interesting naming idea.
But just read the story about em on the page,,,
"In author Morpurgo's vision, the pair begin life as two drops of steel from a factory in Bolton, taken home by a retiring worker who fashions characters out of the metal for his grandchildren. "
Has there been a steelworks in bolton? I mean, nice to get a mention, but surely Sheffield is steel??

Has there been a steelworks in bolton? I mean, nice to get a mention, but surely Sheffield is steel??
I can remember quite a few Steel works in Bolton as a kid. Can't remember the names though.
