Great result. The internet must be broken in Australia, because our Aussie friends haven't been on this thread since it turned in the first test. :whoknows:

" Swann has only played 25 tests but taken 5 wickets in an innings 10 times "

:D

Should have been even better tbh, but this is good. It's probably enough for our Aussie posters internet connections to be playing up again.

268 all out........I'd have taken that last night, but after waking up at 76-5, it seems like a poor display. But David Lloyd has just said it's a cracking batting surface and England have a few overs to bat today.

Aye. But as Beefy as just said, England have put a few runs on themselves, they've seen the day out without loss, but more importantly, they've taken 11 overs out of the new ball........might help them tomorrow?

I don't think it's that bad a showing, we're not going to lose the game now, unless we do something stupid. Almost party time, I've got the champagne on ice already.

If we win this one, then the Xmas test will be a celebration and a half.

England 186-9   Let hope that we can still get something out of this test.  After expecting a win, would now be more than happy with a Draw...

Will Amend  187 - All Out.  Ponting will be gloating, but then again he did the same at the start of the first test. in which we came back...:whoknows:

Silly boys. We still can't get out of the habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Fair play to Johnson though, he bowled really well and he probably deserves that after all the stick he got from the Aussie press.
They seemed to blame him for the draw at Adelaide despite the whole team being under par.
It could be a series changing spell + TBH an Aussie win would at least keep home interest up (we have seen by the empty seats how quickly the Aussies abandon their team whe things arent going well!)and sets things up nicely for Melbourne + Sydney.
