not sure if thats something you can learn.

His interceptions and break up plays are good but ultimately pointless when he kicks it out of play with his next touch.

Not a coyle player long term unless he can improve IMO

Completely agree with the above.  IMO, Muamba has a lot of potential, apart from passing a ball to another footballers feet.

I don't know if this is true, or wishful thinking, but do believe that when he has the ball, he expects players to be moving into open spaces, in which ge puts the ball.

Might just be that he is thinking a lot faster than most.  :whoknows:

Whatever!!!  he still can;t shoot on target...

Well, Petrov can be said to be too foreward thinking, as he regularly passes the ball to no one, in fact giving him the ball is often the graveyard of possession.I have to say that Muamba was my favourite player last year when he got his distribution sorted, but this season he looks poor appart from his break up play.

There is a wholesale lack of one touch control and passing.. and that is something i dont get.. i mention it every week.. what do they do in training?

It's just that 90%+ of our squad arn't good enough to play the sort of passing football Coyle wants to play.

It's hard for Coyle left with a squad which played  long ball and unfortunately they can't change as shown as we are still the third worst in the league for passing this season.

Just hope this summer Coyle has the funds which he needs to change things enough to be able to get his style of football going next season otherwise who could blame him if he wanted to go because of that.

We have Mark Davies, Cahill, Stu Holden Klasnic and Sturridge who can all pass very well.

The others are hit and miss to be honest.

though been very impressed the way Robbo has adapted his game; his passing has been excellent this season.

Agree with all of those players but Sturridge won't be here next season and Robbo is the top passer in our team this season isn't he been very impressive this season proving people wrong.

Holden has the engine to play in front of the back 4 until we get a proper defensive midfielder.

Miguel Veloso would be ok.

Him or Scott Parker... shame he'll end up somewhere like Sunderland or Spurs if West Ham drop.

Teams like Chelsea play direct football when it suits them. I think we're doing ok under Coyle. Our players aren't world-beaters, but OC gets the best out of most of them, most of the time. We are not going to get the type of players that play flowing football for 90 minutes......or rather, to play flowing football whilst keeping the opposition out. The lower divisions are full of ex-PL teams who refused to compromise on their fast, flowing football.

Coyle came here knowing the financial situation. He knows he has to do it on peanuts and he will. I only see Coyle going if/when a big team comes in for him. If ther was a table that showed money spent against league position, we must be close to winning the league.

biggest long ball merchants of the last 4 years i've always thought was Liverpool. Now they have Carroll, I watched some of the game midweek and they only played the long ball right the way through.

Anyone would think we're 17th rather than 7th.

Coyle has never had it so good as a manager, neither has Cahill as a player, neither has many of them, M. Davies, Holden, Wheater, I could go on, but this for many is the best season they have ever had in the Premier League and FA Cup in terms of success. We're going to Wembley, I think Jussi might be our only player to play there? was he in the 1999 semi-final? I think he was...

So, why all the doom and gloom? We gave Man Yoo a real scare!

If it's 26 stitches, then he was never going to make it.

cos it was Evans and he's a utd player its all 'oh well it was 50-50 there was no intent, no malice'

if it had been a Bolton player making that tackle instead it would have been 'typical, dirty Bolton thugs'

people would have been calling for a life time ban as well.
