Liverpool v Bolton Wanderers (1730 BST)

Liverpool will be very happy with four points from their first two games, and especially pleased with their win over Arsenal last weekend.

What we learned in that game was that not only is the Reds' starting XI stronger than last season, but their manager Kenny Dalglish now has enough options to be able to influence games from the bench.

They will get better too. Andy Carroll scored a cracking goal against Exeter in the Carling Cup in midweek but he has not made the best start to the season.

It will be interesting to see where Carroll fits in once Steven Gerrard is fit, and the formation and tactics Dalglish will use. For now, though, Carroll just needs game-time to get his touch back, because he has hardly played due to injuries since his move from Newcastle.

Bolton are full of goals, which is a bit of a surprise seeing as they have lost Johan Elmander and Daniel Sturridge from last season.

I have been impressed by them, even in their defeat against Manchester City last week when they just kept going, but I cannot see them getting anything at Anfield.

Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Bolton Wanderers

Oops!!!  If I had not just received a text from BWFC, might have forgot to post this thread...

Okay it only gives everyone less than 48 Hours, to get their predictions posted for the Liverpool v Bolton game, this coming Saturday 27th August, in a game which Kicks-Off at 17.30 Hours, and is live on SKY.

A few have predicted early for this game, but obviously quite a few more haven't, in which I apologise for not starting this earlier.

Still look forward to your preddictions coming in quick and fast... :whoknows:

Due to Lawro not predicting the Carling Cup Games, it now means that I have to re format my cells in the spreadsheets.  (EEEVIL)   Unfortunately I cannot do this until the Bank Holiday week-end, so advance apologies, regarding the lateness in posting of the latest tables.

In the meanwhile, the words you all are used to reading :-

"The Prediction Lines"  are now Open,  "Please Start Predicting".

To be fair, if I were a neutral, I'd probably predict something similar.

Cheers for all your predictions...  :niceone:  Can't actually say early predictions, since it is a late posted thread.:banghead:

I am looking at the game this way, it is a competition between "Captain Super" K.D. and "Manager " K.D., with the "Super" to come out on top...Lol.

Well!! as you all know, I am always the forever optimist...

I am not "SantaClaus"...  Lol.

A Nil Scorer picks up te same Points as a predicted scorer.

As all know, the first scorer has to be a Bolton Player, plus any more cheek, might think about point reductions...  :P   Lol.

TBH, with our start, most fans will be happy with 4 points from the first 6 games; and less wouldn't have spelt the end of the world - well we've got three of them.

QPR was a poor prediction but if they'd been up for it like Blackpool last year he could have been right.  Predicting losses against City and Liverpool is hardly a shock.  If we get a point we'll be over the moon.

He's probably right with his prediction on the balance of evidence/probability.

But what makes me laugh is that he can say in his narrative that Bolton are full of goals and then predict a defeat to nil!

2-0 to them, Suarez and Carroll - not because Carroll is good, the opposite, which means he will score against us and people will lord it about the cock.

1-2 to us..... striker.

Talk sport keep saying we havent won there since 1954, and quoting the odds for us to win... its an omen.

I have seen us win there twice and i wasnt born in 1954.

So if we take on board jussi wont give them one, and they arent as good as city... i think we will win..

I hope i am right.

I couldnt predict a defeat, i never think we will lose.

Getting later and later with your predictions.  Might have to do the same as what I do to Mr Man (Dezza), beat him up...

I do trust that the above is all taken in jest, after all, I am not that kind of person...

Thought I had better mention the last bit, before any complaints come in..
