Controversy in the Manchester derby.

Personally thought it was a blatant red, however Rooney made the referee's mind up.

Nah, that´s rubbish.  Watched on TV and yellow would have been fair. Albeit with benefit of replays.

Giggs did a far worse challenge form behind a little later.

If you dive in like that you can't have any complaints in my opinion. It's a stupid way to tackle and although Kompany was 'in control', you can't let him off for consistency's sake.

If Phil Jones goes and does that exact same tackle next week I will be fuming if he's still on the pitch.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the challenge. Wasn't even a free kick. Was a brilliant tackle. I can't see how anyone can call that a red card offence.

Because he leaps forward with both feet off the ground.

It's dangerous.

I expected a yellow tbh. 2 feet off the ground but makes no contact with the player and wins the ball.

dangerous.

Red, no because he didn't make any contact with the player.

the only reason he even whistled was because rooney asked him too.

It was on Nani FFS if he made contact he'd have been rolling around crying.

Spot on. Didn't even deserve a yellow. The player tackled didn't claim for anything. After that, the refs hands were tied and he made some silly decisions.

Honestly!

Ricardo Vaz Te puts a hat-trick past Leeds in 21 minutes as a substitute 10 days ago and nobody bats an eyelid. Thiery Henry bags one and it's the pissing rapture.

Isn't every goal ever scored, either a moment of brilliance or madness? The first goal was the latter and the second was a mixture of both. I guarantee that every goal Man U have scored has been one or the other. It doesn't make the victory any less deserved.

Both QPR's Anton Ferdinand and Chelsea's John Terry start at Loftus Road.

Newcastle had that mindset that they could turn up and win no matter what it seemed. I think their key players such as Ben Arfa and Cabaye just weren't at the races today at all.

Well, perhaps they were at the races and not were they should have been.

From the BBC:

1732: The Arsenal defence opens up briefly for Martin Petrov, but the Bulgarian can't get the ball away to Darren Bent who is lurking in the middle, arms outstretched.

guess it's other clubs too they get worng with our players.

How much do you think they get paid?

Could have done with a couple more all Premier League ties really. Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs in the quarters already.

Milwall and Southampton 1-1, but it looks as if Ginger Mourinho won't be making it through.

Shame that.
