Women's tennis should be a great spectator sport, but.
The but is that stupid grunting noise they make. Why do they do it, it totally spoils the spectacle.
Also, equal pay. Well why not? Why not ! The woman's final, 14 games, the men's, 55 (with the added bonus of no screeching). So if they get the same prize money what's equal about that?

I'm all for the principal of equal pay, but the men play 5 sets to the women's 3. Also, men's tennis is more popular. It's easier to sell a men's game than a woman's....apparently?

I hate Tennis, it is an absolute dull fest as a spectator sport just way to tame to watch unless you are struggling to catch some zeds.
Used to like playing the game as a youth.
I suspect in the last 20 years I have seen perhaps 30 minutes probably on the news when some athlete has won his/her tornament and I have had to endure the final points of the match.
Last night during half time of the Spain Portugal game, I had to listen to Sharapova ? grunting and screaming through a game/set/match on Radio 5, now who in their right mind thinks that anybody wants to listen to some posh knob talking about the pressure of the game and the superb fight back with some tart howling in the background? re-tune Talksport even Collymore and Mataface are less offensive..

From what i heard (didn't watch it) the Spain v Portugal game was also a good time to catch some zeds?
Tennis can be like that, especially the men's game. But there have been some crackers this year already. The Paszek v Wozniacki game was fantastic to watch.
