SO hope this is true that he's stable, not just alive but STABLE!
If this is the case, which I hope it is, the medical staff deserve commendations for their actions on and off the pitch.

Spurs fan in peace,
Best wishs to Muamba and his family, noone likes to see this in any club in football.
I was at the game, and was good to see both sets of fans realising the seriousness of the situation.
Prayers are with him

Tottenham Hotspur footballer Fabrice Muamba is in a stable condition in hospital after collapsing on the pitch during an FA Cup quarter final match.
The next 24 hours will be critical for him. I know we all hope he recovers from this very serious condition. At the very least, he is breathing again, and not on life support. Wishing him well for a speedy recovery so he can rejoin his children before too long.

| Yes praise must be given to the medical staff. All those at THFC who were on the pitch offering as much help as possible within seconds. and those in the ambulance and hospital.

Magnificent work by the medical staff, to get him stable. Come on Fabrice, get well.
Also thanks to everyone at Spurs, club and fans, for exemplary behviour this evening. And thanks to the fans of other clubs who have come on here and offered good wishes and kind thoughts.

When Copied and Pasted from BBC Sport, an Orbituary didn't even come to mind. If it upsets you, I do apologise.
But my thoughts are for Fabrice and his family only at this time. Basically not concerned about anyone else...

| This is sickening beyond words, Fabrice is known for dedicating time towards helping those less fortunate within the local Bolton community, I'm sure those peoples prayers are also with Fabrice and his family tonight, as are mine, Come-on Fabrice we're all behind you, mate.

I'd considered posting the article myself but thought better of it as running through careeer highlights in this situation I felt was insensitive by the beeb. Thats something you do either when the player has been transferred, finished his playing career or their finale. So I didn't run with it.

Definitely huge respect. Here's the supporter doctor who ran onto the pitch:

He didn't get chance to help, but it was just instinctive.
He's now stating all athletes should be cardiac screened. Hard to disagree with him.

Still a long way to go yet Liam, and all those concerned. We will know more in the next 24 hrs. This is just a small step anything can happen yet. But fingers crossed he pulls through.

Stable is a deceptive word.
He's not going to be anywhere else other than in intensive care right now and he's obviously critically ill.
Stable basically means his life is not in immediate danger. But that can change in seconds.
All we can do is pray and hope he continues to recover. Remember, any sort of stability is a massive improvement on from where he was at on the pitch.
A massive well done and thank you to all the medical staff who are giving us hope.

| From a Spurs fan just want to say my thoughts and prayers are for Fabrice Muamba tonight heres wishing him a full recovery. Times like this put things into perspective and draws the football family together. Allegiances to clubs go out the window when a young mans life is at stake
