Absolutely bloody marvelous.
What a season he is having. I'm not sure I've ever seen a striker, in a distinctly average team, perform like this for so long.
That second goal against Liverpool today was sublime. Line the world's best players up and 90 times in a hundred that would not go in. And yet he made it look like the simplest of finishes.
He'll smash 30 goals this season barring injury. Can you recollect a better season from a striker? That Arsenal team should be struggling to finish in the top six, RVP is dragging them into the top four and I wouldn't bet against them catching Spurs now.
The only other season-length magic from a forward would be Henry that I can remember, but of course, Henry had a team behind him that were superb. Any strikers beat RVP's season that you can remember?
People always prattle on about forwards having form in patches, Rooney goes through stages of not scoring etc, but RVP seems to be pulling something extra out every week. Magic.

I'm not trolling but I'm not his biggest fan tbh.
he has a fantastic left foot, reminds me of Robben in that way, he can't even stand on his right foot though and it limits his game massively.
Similar to Robben, and similar to Rivaldo.
He's also a whiny, entitled w*nker.
in terms of pure goalscorers though he is one of the premier leagues all time greats, Van Nistelrooy, Henry, RVP, Shearer, Ian Wright even Kevin Phillips are all "natural" finishes, you can't teach that skill.
but, imagine how good he'd be if he had right foot, yikes.

Those are criticisms that I have had of him in the past. But every time I've seen him this season, he's been outstanding. His game is in no way limited by his one-footedness, in fact his right foot has come on a lot since he first arrived in my opinion.
This finish against Norwich takes some control with the weaker foot. A lot of players would mess that up on their stronger foot.

Whiny? Is he though? Any more so than all the rest? I think he appears very professional, which I guess is somewhat easier when you're in such great form. I don't remember seeing him strop. Whereas players like Ronaldo in the past and Rooney today are horrible whiny players.
I don't think he's as good as the absolute top, top players you see, but his form this season has been absolutely stunning and some of the goals he's scored have been magical. If he was in this form at City or United the league would have been won by now and he'd be close to 40 goals.

I watched him today and it limited his game, he can't even pass on his right foot, he stops him turning and picking passes in certain areas.
I guess it doesn't truly limit him because he's a striker so he doesn't have to have that skill but i find it so annoying to watch.
he's always the first in the refs face, he runs the length of pitches to do it too, does my nut in.
but i don't deny his talent, he's exceptional, no wonder he's so arrogant.
