Personally can see QPR, Wigan, Blackburn and Bolton all still being in it on the last day.

The thing is, Wigan have to play Wolves and Blackburn. Only one team can win the game, or better yet they could draw the games. Should Wigan lose the two games they need points against

Man Yoo H
Arsenal A
Fulham A
Newcastle H

Should Wigan beat Wolves and lose to Rovers the Wolves are gone for sure as they'd have to pick up points in even harder fixtures. (wolves leading against Stoke right now) with fixtures against

Arsenal H
Sunderland A
Citeh H
Swansea A

Should Wigan beat Rovers and lose to Wolves, Rovers would need to get points out of

Liverpool H
Swansea A
Norwich H
Chelski A

Norwich and maybe Liverpool at best?

Should Wigan beat them both.... Well, Wigan would need to get a couple of points at best to survive and still have a tough run in.

So, our own fate is in our own hands as always, however Wigan will have the biggest say in the matter.

QPR, you could argue in fact that they at least don't play any 6 pointer games, their wins should they get any will count for much more in the league and could save them.

What would throw it right in our favour is DRAWS for Wigan!

Come on the 0-0's!

From the point of view of the run-in, worried for anyone but us.
From the point of view of the performances, us.

This season isn't going to be about games won, it's going to be about games lost. As long as the teams around us can lose the same number of games as us we're safe.  Wigan nearly gave us a shock, but didn't.

Sadly I think our survival is out of our hands.  We've nothing in the tank.  Our hope is that no-one else has too.

Well after that i don't see us winning ANY away games and at home you never know it's still a toss of the coin.

We've STILL got it in our hands which is utterly remarkable,

So can I. If I assume we are staying up, then I think Wigan and QPR would drop. Having said that, both teams are showing some spirit and we ain't!! :X

But I'd still rather be us than any team below us, because we still have points on them and it's still in our own hands.

We need to get two wins THIS MONTH. As I feel we will be able to get two wins next month. But where the two wins this month are coming from I don't know.

Looking at our fixtures and knowing our history, i can only see one win. I can't hand on heart say where we'd get another point. I fear the Fulham result has relegated us.

I don't know.  Apart from Wigan-Blackburn, Wigan-Wolves and possibly Bolton-Villa, I could see no points for any of the bottom 5 until the end of the season.  Yes, we're all that bad.

Wigan are looking the best and I can see them win both six-pointers but I suspect beating Villa could be enough to guarantee keeping us up while even that may not be necessary.

Wigan - Wolves is a worry!

Thank goodness Liverpool won. Think they're tryin to give their supporters heart attacks as well as Bolton ones!

Must say can't see anything other than a QPR win against Swansea. Wigan may also beat Man U as Man U have an eight point lead. Arsenal hopefully will do the business as they need Champions league.

My latest forecast (after tonight's game and based on the remaining fixtures) is:

QPR 36 pts
Wigan 36 pts
Wanderers 35 pts
Blackburn 33 pts
Wolves 26 pts

Our goal difference is a worry, as an extra point may not be enough.

On the plus side, my prediction skills are cr@p so the real final table will probably be totally different from the above.

I don't see Wigan beating Man U at all. Man U will want to seal the title first. Ferguson won't let them relax. Plus they will want to rub City's noses in it.

QPR have the best chance, but the form book says otherwise.

If its any consolation, after my last negative post, the bookies are still on our side.

QPR, Wigan and Blackburn are all odds-on to be relegated (as obviously are Wolves), whereas you can get a very generous 7-4 against us going down.

Sadly I feel we can only afford to lose 2 maybe 3 of the remaining games.

I hope you're right about Wigan. Just hope Swansea do the business now and go on their holidays when they play us.

The Swansea game is the big one. I think a few QPR heads will drop if they lose that one, and Swansea are more than capable of winning it.

Swansea have the biggest say in who goes down, QPR tonight, Blackburn on Saturday and then us.

Which is good because they have something to play for, particularly in the QPR game. But I put no faith in teams who have nothing to play for. All that means is they relax and start knocking the ball around for fun. That's also not good if we're playing them.

What I like is that there's a lot of football played between now and our next game. All of our relegation rivals have a long bit of rope to hang themselves with, and it's likely that by our next game we'll have a couple of games in hand with them, sitting about the same points.
