Right (or Reet depending on your pronounciation).
Only a part-timer here and at the Reebok (are Reebok now the Championship version of Adidas?) but after seeing the "Who would you keep?" thread, it seems to me that the shock of going down is still setting in to a lot of fans.
BWFC have been relegated. To quote an ex-Liverpool Manager (not the last one): FACT!
OK. Loss of £30 million is a worry. Didn't stop the Mitchell Brothers / Bolton rejects making the making the Playoff Final on Saturday. As well, two ex-Premier League clubs who had dropped to the third tier (old Division 3 as it shoud be known) have jumped back up 2 divisions to the Premiership in the past two seasons (Norwich, and now Southampton).
We should be looking at who the Wanderers should be signing not just worrying about who leaves.
Who can the Wanderers get for free?
Who can we afford to buy?
Would it cost more than a few drinks at the 'Lion of Vienna' and a years supply of Carrs Pasties?
Would threatening to post old Peter Kay "Live" DVD's through their letterbox help?
Cheers,
Havoc.

I'd see if Tim Cahill wants to come over, I reckon his time at Everton is nearly done and is a great impact player and would still be great at that level.
And I reckon would be cheap.

Nope, wate of a shirt his legs are gone and the Championship would find him out.
Hopefully we will be looking at young players determined to make a name for themselves.

Hopefully we've already got a few of them.

I think being in the championship, with an extra 8 games in the season, will be harder on the old pros - not easier just because it is a lower league. My choice would be to use / buy / loan younger players who haven't yet had their head turned by big wages for a seat on the bench at a bigger club - basically those who still love the game more than the money!
It's fair to say, though, I have no names to offer - I've not really watched championship or league football for quite a few years. I've not needed to with the saturation of premiership football. I'll have to learn fast!

Hopefully OC is looking through the Arsenal reserve squad and making a loan shopping list to hit Wenger with.
I'd like to see Miyaichi back, he's certainly not ready for the Arsenal 1st team so it'd just be a case of whether Wenger would want him to go to the Championship.

In the championship you need at least one player who can hit 20 goals plus a season, preferably two.
Haven't seen enough of Sordell to make a judgement but if possible I'd like to see us try and nick Ebanks-Blake from Wolves, absolutely prolific in this division.

I don't have names but surely we should be focusing on the defense! That was our biggest problem and now with Wheater out we surely need at least a CB!
Whatever position we buy we need to buy young and preferably premier league quality! Players that can't get into teams in the premier league that are hungry to prove themselves and after a year playing regularly in the championship will be ready to play in the premier league! There is no point buying players that have struggled this season in the prem we need to be thinking about next year with the aim of being in the premier league

| If Huddersfield dont get promoted go for Jordan Rhodes. He will score goals and can sell on if required. Only thing a few prem clubs might be sniffing round, but why not. Him Davies, Lee, Wylde, Petrov & Sordell is a great attacking force for that division

I would be happy with a centre half pairing of Ricketts and Ream. We certainly need back ups but I think we have a solid centre half pairing with these two.

It's rumoured the Cahill deal involved us getting a loan player from Chelsea this season.
Would like to see McEachran at the Reebok but I doubt they will want to send him down to a Championship club.

Michael Owen would be a good call, especially if he would accept a "Massive" pay cut.
Although think he will end up with one of the newly promoted clubs. Don't think any of the others in the PL would take him on board. If so, only to warm the bench and have a 10 - 20 minute run out ocassionally.

I don't know. He was cr*p at Swansea and they didn't like his poor attitude from the papers I read and talking to someone I know who follows Swansea.

Ricardo Fuller would be a good signing would be a good player to have to come off the bench and make an impact and also to start some games.
Owen and Jordan Rhodes are two other players who I'd love us to go for would be an ambitious signing one of those two if we could get either which would show how much we want to get back up again.

Neither will be available. Owen says he doesn't want to play in the championship and would rather go abroad and Rhodes is about to sign for Fulham having had a host of premiership clubs after him.

Fulhams Andy Johnson and Nicky Shorey. Newcastles Danny Guthrie and lets see how much Sunderlands Craig Gordon salary would cost us. Vladamir Weiss from Man City, Boulahrouz from Stuttgart, Zidan from Mainz, Muntari from Milan, and Douglas from FC Twente.

| First signing could possibly be Adam Clayton fron leeds Warnock released him as he does not fit the type of big strong player Warnocks likes and OC was interested in him last season also Hines is available from Boro out of contract. Both good young players!

Youth is King, don't want any burnt out, over the hill, way past it, reject, looking for that meal-ticket before being put out to pasture. The players we've got are easy good enough at championship level, Obviously we need to keep hold of Knight at this level, hope to see more of Marvin Sordell, Joe Riley, Josh Vela even Michael O'Halloran. We should see Lee and Holdens welcomed return, Wylde, Mears and Alonso should also be pushing for inclusion. A replacement for Reo-Joker would be nice, not sure who, but stealing someone half-decent from a rival club shouldn't be too difficult.
Well done to Big Sam with promotion and a 2-1 Wobbly, Wembley Win!

Clayton and hines are good calls then.
Big Sam will be laughing. Newcastle, Bolton and Blackburn have all been relegated since he left and he has West Ham promoted with a huge transfer budget. Happy Days for Big Sam and West Ham.
Whilst Owen Coyle will be under pressure as we will need some muscle in our midfield to get promoted. That will be the problem with our youth.
Tom Eaves though hopefully will be the man to get the goals.

I don't know much about either player, Greeny2, but Clayton seems to command the respect of other Banterers, sounds promising, indeed, both are young with plenty to prove.
Big Sam will be laughing, until he wakes up with a hangover tomorrow morning and his ass begins to twitch on realizing the impossible task of keeping Westham in the top flight with that current crop of players. Only stacks of cash will remedy that problem, that said, hand on heart, I wish him the best of luck.

Think is he will have stacks of cash. Yes he will keep them in the Premiership. I wouldn't be suprised if they finished mid table. They've still retained most of the players they had in the premiership from the last time so I reckon they'll be alright. One or two good signings, find a new goalie as Green lacks concentration and they should be okay.
Wouldn't be suprised if there was a knock on the door for Jussi. This would help us anyway as we would lose two wages jussis and Fred Barbers - we wont need two goalkeeping coaches in the championship.Last edited on Sun May 20th, 2012 08:44 am by Greeny2
