I've seen these figures bandied before; even if the BWFC financial situaion is precarious, and Gartside's explanation misleading, this comment is just as misleading.
According to the Sunday Times Rich List, Eddie Davies has a worth of around £60 million, most of which will be in assets. Even allowing for errors in that estimate, it would take a cute conjuring trick to lend £100 million in hard cash to anyone.
For that to be an issue you would have to believe he had lent the club £100m at one go, which as the article shows, is not the case. You would also have to be believe he has no other income. He has lent the money over 10 years, and taken some back by way of interest. Maybe he had over £150m 10 years, I dunno. There may well be a problem but that is not it.

Here is a list of Premership/Championship Owners and their worth. Looking at Bolton's we will be struggling to compete with Championship Clubs moneywise.
List of English Club Owners
Okay!! It is probably outdated, but does let us know roughly what we are up against....
Talk about "Tightening the Belt"... quickly springs to mind...

(After 61 years, you either have Bolton inside you, or you start supporting another Team)... Since I haven't started supporting another Team, tells my side of the story).

I thought ED was worth £160m ?
Otherwise the questions remain. But I doubt we'll get answers.
