I really don't get this at all. This is as good as Spurs have been for many years. :whoknows:

Agreed. I hope they slip back down the league now. It's bad enough when some clubs sack their manager too quickly. But to sack a manager who has clearly improved the team. :whoknows:

I assume they have Moyes already lined up?

A lot of Spurs fans are happy.  They'd become disenchanted with 'Arry as he clearly thought he was bigger than the club.

Question is, was he wrong?  Spurs have an unmerited "big club" mentality and Redknapp was the one who turned a good second-level club into a contender for the top 3/4.

Think this could backfire - not necessarily on Levy who I think is realistic and probably content to be 6th with a sustainable financial model - but certainly on the fans.

It's almost a reproduction of Allardyce at Bolton after England speculation.

Probably another example of misguided stupidity and perhaps a little arrogance from club ownership to chairman? Un-earthing a new manager capable of progression won't be easy, then again, yes men to puppet-masters are probably ten a penny, let's wait and see, shameful.

Well he was keen on the England job......how could he feel the England job was bigger than the Spurs job?

Lets forget that Spurs form in the last few weeks / months of the season was poor + the fact that Arry basically said back me or sack me with a year left on his contract. So Levy sacked him. Personally can't blame Levy. Arry also didn't underline his commitment to Spurs when England was being touted so it's his own fault. Some Spurs fans I know are glad to see the back of him. Say he's been taking money out of the club - no idea if they're right but if true can see their point of view.

Anyway, useful replacement when Coyle goes (lol)
