Have just received the following Text Message from BWFC :-

Wanderers have already strengthened their Squad for next season by capturing Swiss Midfielder Blerim Dzenaili and French Central Defender Gerald Cid.

Nice early start for a change. :D

When I received the message, I was at the Bookies backing one of Mick Channons Horses ( I was given a very strong Tip), so have just got back, am now going onto Wilkipedia to see what I can find.

Oh, I can just imagine having El Cid playing for us. We can do the final scene chant when he plays.

Both youngsters so that is good news. Dzemali looks like he may be a long term replacement for Campo. If Ivan can pass on a few of his skills then that would be good. To be captain of FC Zurich at 20 is no mean feat.

This has come from the BWFC Offish Site :-

BWFC Statement

Both Players appear to be very good signings from what is stated and will definitely strengthen the Squad.  Should also benefit the Club as we hopefully enter Europe once more next season.

Bolton have already begun strengthening for next season by signing two highly-rated European starlets.
Swiss international midfielder Blerim Dzemaili and Bordeaux defender Gerald Cid have both signed pre-contract agreements and will move to The Reebok Stadium in the summer

Dicky,

This has already been brought up on an Earlier Thread "Summer Signings".  I think that the Admin Bods, if I can wake a certain one up :Bedtime:Knock, knock wake up Billy, or the Mods to merge the threads, which is probably in the best of interest for everyone.

Fantastic signings in my book, genuine strong prospects.

No silly money for a couple of players with maybe as much potential as the Reading and Southampton 10 million quid prospects

Great film, saw it first in the early 60s when I was a nipper.  Was thinking exactly the same myself, altered to:

FOR SAM, THE CID, AND BOLTON !!

Now where are our regular doubters, mockers, put-us-downers, lack of ambition accusers, rubbish in the transfer market mockers.

A bit quite aren't they.

These signings presumably have TBH's exit, and Speedo's gradual decline in mind.  Along with the Slav lads, Andranik, and Meite, look like great business.

NEWS FLASH....NEWS FLASH....... Reports are coming in of teeth gnashing and wrist slashing in Portsmouth, East London, Glasgow, etc etc

Looks like Sam's plan this year is to get all his summer signings done before the summer window opens - that way those teams that use the Bolton scouting network will be too late.

Reads like a spot-on article written in a neutral style.

Note to BBC and newspapers.......please send your trainees to this site to learn how to write objectively, as opposed to enrolling them all in 'Cliche School'.

its good to see some recognition to the big man and his ability to get a bargain

a little off topic but
im wondering what it would cost to get lucas neil after he become a free agent when west ham get relegated?

can he sign for a new club 6 months after signing for wet spam or will he have to spend 6 months in the championship

He can sign because it will be a new season but do we want or need him?

agreed with everything. great to see an aussie with bolton. The reason i think he went to west ham was to pocket the HUGE salary then move to a club that will be challenging for top 6 maybe top 4 position. Great player and having neill and hunt as our right back combo would be nice.

the reporst back here are that liverpool didnt even speak to him and he never spoke to rafa or the coaching staff so didnt think he was that wanted by them

you must understand id love to have an aussie play for the club i support, neill would be nice, cahill better, bresciano would rock as well (but he will never leave italy)

let us atleast dream about an aussie playing at the reebok
