having watched on youtube the scrapping between arse and chelski
you have to say that abeyabours (?) red card is harsh,, if the FA have said it's for punching lampard.
and now lamps has said he wasnt punched

mind you , wayne bridge should get an oscar for the way he drops to the floor.....
not a nice scene,, but seems 'wierd' to have chosen him for the punching,, when thats probably about the only thing he didnt do

Isn't it a case of mistaken identity? Ie they've carded Adebayor instead of Eboue?

No mistaken identity as far as I can tell, first time I saw the replays I thought Adebayor must have been sent off for pushing and swinging his arms at everyone. It's mystified me as to why everyone thinks it was something to do with Eboue? The match officials didn't see Eboue hit Bridge, hence why he's been charged afterwards.
If you watch the incident, Fabregas and Lampard are involved in a little bit of a tussle, Adebayor charges over to them, swings an arm towards Lampard, then starts shoving Carvalho. That's what the FA say he was sent off for, and I don't know why the TV companies haven't picked up on it.

well isnt the gripe that basically he did nothing more than what lampard and fabregas did? in fact probably less ?
wenger is saying that the linesman is saying a punch was thrown,,, though the fa are claiming this isnt true
anyway eboue is now charged

| See that both Teams have been fined £100k for the brawl, was hoping that they might have had points deducted.

The FA haven't got the b*lls to deduct points from either of them. £100k is loose change.
Re the incident itself, Adebayor looked to run in and throw a punch at the time. When you see the replay, it was nothing, but easy to see why the ref and lino's thought otherwise. He only had himself to blame. If he hadn't have gone charging in, he wouldn't have been sent off.

I don't think they are able to deduct points from them in the League, when the offence happened in the Cup. Can they?
